RCMM Achievement Award for Leo Nijtmans
NIJMEGEN – During the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the RCMM Dr Leo Nijtmans was awarded the first RCMM Achievement Award. The prize was awarded to honour his work on mitochondrial function in health and disease. Leo Nijtmans has delivered significant contributions to the understanding of how the most important energy generating system in our cells, the oxidative phosphorylation system, is assembled and which genes and proteins are relevant in health and in disease. We congratulate Leo with this wonderful achievement.
