The Radboud Center for Mitochondrial Medicine

31/1/16 - NIJMEGEN - On January 30, during the 20th anniversary celebration of the Nijmegen Center for Mitochondrial Disorders, professor Jan Smeitink announced the name change to Radboud Center for Mitochondrial Medicine. The new name was chosen to clearly express the position as expert center at the Radboud university medical center. In addition, it underlines the expanded scope from rare mitochondrial disorders to common diseases in which mitochondria play a critical role, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease.
