23/3/17 - NIJMEGEN
Each year the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen awards the so called "Radboudpluim" award to colleagues who have delivered extraordinary performances aligned with the Radboudumc goals and values. This year Marion Hermans, nurse practitioner at the RCMM, was awarded the Radboudpluim. Radboudumc board member Cathy van Beek and RCMM chair Jan Smeitink praised her valuable contribution to patient-centered care and increasing disease awareness in the general public. For example, Marion optimises child care in the field of mitochondrial disorders, organises the annual patient information day, organises events during the global mitochondrial disease awareness week and is pro-active in developing information about mitochondrial disorders for patients and the general public.
We congratulate Marion with this much deserved distinction!
